耶穌真的復活了嗎?

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your providence. I never worry about food and never fail to find a place to stay.
Thank you for your bread. There's so much wisdom in your words.
Thank you for your love. There's nothing to compare with your salvation. I am too unworthy of it.
Thank you for your staff and rod. Your servants were there to give me timely support and advice.

Let us mourn with those who have lost what they hold dear.
Let us pray for those who are in need.
Let us praise your name for your greatness, every day.
Let us memorize your words and treat each other the way you taught us to.
Let us go and testify for your amazing grace.

Please stay with the sick among us till the end.
Please watch over those who travel and keep them from despair.
Please comfort those whose hearts are hurt. Only your hands can cure them.
Please give me confidence and a humble heart to serve you this Friday night and open the ears of those who will come.
Please work on our leaders' hearts so that they act according to your will.
Please keep a light on your path so I can walk on it without falling.
Please give my friend, your humble servant, strength and wisdom to get over his work this week.

In Jesus' name I pray, amen.

Above law

I have developed a habit of listening to the New Testament during my weekly long drive. I was listening to the Book of Romans on the way back home two nights ago. It was past midnight when it was playing Romans 3:31,

"Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."

At that moment, I was driving at about 75 in a 60 zone. The verse clearly told me to abide by the law. So I began sticking close to the speed limit. In a minute or so, a car went right past me at about my old speed. And it was immediately caught by a patrol car which had been hiding on the side of the road. If I didn't slow down to the speed limit, the one that was caught would have been me. God has given me a lesson -- one that I should bear in mind. Sticking with the speed limit means a delay of 15 minutes. It's not something easy to get used to. Since He has shown me this lesson, I pray that He also gives me the needed patience and strength to live with it.

Thanks for your prayer

Dear brothers and sisters,

Thank you all for your prayers. The demostration was delayed for quite a bit but it went very smoothly otherwise. The Yum Fok members were mostly very attentive and some even raised some good questions and showed interests in spreading the gospel using the salvation card. Praise the Lord that He helped me answer all of them with wisdom. This is really a great relief. I can really get a tight sleep tonight. Also I feel less stressed about the demostration I'll give on 6/24. Thank you so much for your thoughful prayers. On the spot, Steve used the salvation card and led a newcomer to become a new brother. Thank God for His providence!

Have a good night!

Today's blessing

I left late for the sermon this morning. But since I didn't have any breakfast before going, I struggled about whether to drop by a fast food restaurant on the way for take-out. The starving stomach won the battle and I rushed into the restaurant. Only one cashier counter was open. The cashier was having trouble communicating with the two senior ladies, because they didn't understand English well. Seeing that I was about to be late for the sermon, I jumped in to act as an interpreter. One of the senior ladies thanked me afterwards and she asked me whether I was a Christian. Surely I knew that many people of different beliefs/ideologies would have helped them. But I was very happy about how she perceived about today's Christians. Especially I was happy since God honored Himself through me. At the end, I finished the food and settled down myself in the santuary right on time. This seemingly unimportant event lit up my day. :)
