Oh Lord my God
Your Name is Most High
The Just and Merciful One
hear the prayer of Your servant
I place my faith in You
And know that You have control over all things
Still my heart trembles
as each second goes by
In and out I breathe
and each throb of my own heartbeat signals my worries
My heart goes to the heart that is in trouble
Time has gone slow
Each tick of the clock is so long
Yet I pay no attention when I wholeheartedly pray to You
And I fail to hide away my sigh from You
You know my prayer
You know my weakness
You know my heart
