The kind of love

The kind of love
of one who follows Jesus
is more soothing than speaking gentle words
is more reliable than a bold shoulder
is more trustworthy than making big promises
is more meaningful than buying nice gifts
is more detailed than planning vacations
is more generous than paying after
is more proposeful than winning someone's heart
is more complete than a small world of two
is greater than anything money can buy

It can only be so
for God loves us first
